Delta’s newest music series showcasing talent and artistry in the community, The Red Barn Music Series presents Los Madera!

Saturday August 30th @ 2:00pm.

Los Madera is a Latin funk/rock group fronted by David López on guitar and Ronnie Swirl on bass. With many years of experience in the Latin salsa scene, writing a Juno nominated album for Mazacote about his connection to his homeland Nicaragua, David continues tying together the different genres that have sparked his love of music. Pairing together David’s original music with iconic songwriters such as Juan Luis Guerra, helps shape a beautiful set of romantic and nostalgic sounds of the Latin music scene. Influenced by the Rock en Español movement and giving nods to influential latin groups like Enanitos Verdes, Mana and Soda Estereo, Los Madera adds their own stamp on timeless hits.

As an immigrant to Canada, David maintains ties to his latin culture through his songwriting. As a young artist David found his form of expression sharing the stage with world-renowned artists such as Jimmy Bosch and other notable members of the Cuban music scene. With extensive experience performing at large summer festivals such as the Vancouver Jazz Festival and Carnival del Sol, David also loves connecting with smaller audiences in more intimate settings.

On Aug. 30, Los Madera also includes guest violinist Alana López.

One hour show starts at 2:00pm

Tickets available in advance and at the door.

Drinks will be sold at the bar (card and cash) inside the barn. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
