The Amazing World of Bats
Come out for a night of adventure as we learn more about bats and go on a walk to see them in their natural habitat. The night will start with an hour-long presentation filled with fascinating facts. Participants will then drive themselves to Ladner Habour Park where we shall reconvene and set out on a bat walk. During the walk, we will discuss echolocation and how to safely watch bats. Join us for an extraordinary night of bat education and fun. Please wear close-toed shoes, pants, and long sleeves for the walk. Sun Festival 2025
The Tsawwassen Sun Festival is a three-day celebration of fun in the sun, jam packed with special events, games, friendly competitions and many other attractions. There’s BINGO at SD Recreation Centre, while most events take place at Winskill Park. Check out the classic Car show that happens every year on the big field. Check out the Beer Garden which is in the shaded tree area behind Winskill Pool. Skateboard Park and Drone Show at SD Recreation Centre as well! Pickleball and Volleyball tournaments at Dennison Park!
As always, the pride of the Sun Festival is the annual Rotary Parade which will run from 53a St and Saratoga Dr to 12 Ave, along 12 Ave to 56 St and then Southbound down 56 St until 8a Ave. Sponsored by dozens of companies and featuring hundreds of local individuals, clubs and businesses, the Rotary Parade brings together the Tsawwassen Sun Festival.

Red Barn Music Series- Los Madera
Delta’s newest music series showcasing talent and artistry in the community, The Red Barn Music Series presents Los Madera!
Saturday August 30th @ 2:00pm.
Los Madera is a Latin funk/rock group fronted by David López on guitar and Ronnie Swirl on bass. With many years of experience in the Latin salsa scene, writing a Juno nominated album for Mazacote about his connection to his homeland Nicaragua, David continues tying together the different genres that have sparked his love of music. Pairing together David’s original music with iconic songwriters such as Juan Luis Guerra, helps shape a beautiful set of romantic and nostalgic sounds of the Latin music scene. Influenced by the Rock en Español movement and giving nods to influential latin groups like Enanitos Verdes, Mana and Soda Estereo, Los Madera adds their own stamp on timeless hits.
As an immigrant to Canada, David maintains ties to his latin culture through his songwriting. As a young artist David found his form of expression sharing the stage with world-renowned artists such as Jimmy Bosch and other notable members of the Cuban music scene. With extensive experience performing at large summer festivals such as the Vancouver Jazz Festival and Carnival del Sol, David also loves connecting with smaller audiences in more intimate settings.
On Aug. 30, Los Madera also includes guest violinist Alana López.

One hour show starts at 2:00pm

Delta’s newest music series showcasing talent and artistry in the community, The Red Barn Music Series presents Janelle Nadeau!

Come experience Janelle’s love of music and harp RE-IMAGINED at this family friendly concert!
A local resident of Ladner, Janelle Nadeau is a nationally renowned harpist who has shared the stage with music luminaries including Diana Krall, Frank Sinatra Jr, The Who, Kanye West and more. Her awe-inspiring performances led to her role as the principle harpist with the Vancouver Opera Orchestra and the Turning Point Ensemble. She performs regularly with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and past performances include: the World Harp Congress, American Harp Society Conference, Celebrity Cruises, the National Youth Symphony of Canada including a decade with Winter Harp and beyond. Janelle has been touring since she was 19 years old and has made her way across Canada and has toured internationally to the United States, Asia and Europe. She believes in the healing power of music and through her work with Health Arts Society, she has performed more than 400 solo concerts in hospitals and palliative care homes. Born and raised on a farm in Manitoba, Janelle returns every year to work on the farm during harvest with her two young sons.
On July 19th, Janelle’s concert also includes guest artists Ben Goheen on cello, and Alana Lopez on violin, sharing a variety of styles including pop, classical, Celtic music and stories.

Greyhaven Exotic Bird Sanctuary is a non-profit rescue and protection for parrots and other birds. They provide education on bird care and have been in operation for 25 years.
