Bright Horizons Childcare & Early Education
-
As the head of school at Bright Horizons Children’s Early Learning Centre, Hannah Bains previously served as the program manager at Renaissance Kids Tsawwassen. Her goal is to offer a well-rounded program that balances early academics, health and wellness, and play-based activities.
Bright Horizons offers two programs: an Infant and Toddler Program for ages 12 months to three years old, and a Junior Kindergarten program for ages three to five. These programs include circle time, activities promoting independence, open-ended play, introductions to language arts, math, science, nutrition, cooking, music, meditation, yoga, and sports. French classes are also available, with age-appropriate lessons. "Children learn languages faster in their early years, so introducing more than one language is beneficial," says Bains. Future plans include field trips and the Big Buddies and Senior Pals programs to foster community connections and teach compassion.
